Bats are the natural mosquito annihilator! Think about it, mosquitoes come out at night while birds are roosting - including the Martins. Dusk is when the bat takes over and feeds on pesky mosquitoes and gnats. A single bat can consume 3000 to 7000 mosquito and gnat sized insects per night. So, if you still suffer from mosquitoes, even with a Martin colony, consider attracting bats.
