San Diego Bird Festival San Diego - CA February 6-11, 2008 San Diego is renowned for variety of birds and habitat and 224 species were seen by 2007 festival participants. List posted on www.sandiegoaudubon.org. Kenn Kaufman will be banquet speaker,workshop presenter and co-lead a trip. Nineteen Trips include overnight and day trips to Baja, pelagic, birding by kayak, Anzo Borrego Desert, oak woodlands, shore, mountain and inland birding hotspots. Fifteen workshops include Birding by Ear, Gull, Shorebird and Butterfly ID, Keeping Bird List, Sea Turtle and Raptor encounters, Optics and Digiscoping. Three day Optics fair will start on Friday. Annual Warm Springs Georgia Bird Festival and Great Backyard Bird Count Warm Springs - GA February 15-18, 2008 Would you like to participate in a nationwide campaign and scientific study to count birds during the heart of winter? Bring your family and join us for our Second Annual Warm Springs Georgia Bird Festival and Great Backyard Bird Count(GBBC) that begins on Friday February 15 and runs through Monday February18, 2008 Presidents Day Weekend. The GBBC is a joint project between the Cornell Lab of Ornothology and the Audubon Society and is held annually. The village of Warm Springs, Georgia is proud to participate in this project and we have initiated a festival inviting everyone to come to Warm Springs and count birds.
